Olympic Update

Well, Tracey made it through to the last 16 but was unfortunately beaten by Germany's Huaiwen Xu yesterday in match that left me with no fingernails!! Nevertheless, we are all really proud of her, this is her second Olympics and I least this time I got to see all of her matches. Well done Tracey xx

Glued to the Olympics!!

I'm not usually a sports lover but I must admit I have been glued to the TV this afternoon. My cousin, Tracey Hallam is competing for Great Britain in the women's badminton singles and has just won her first match. It's soo exciting!! She's playing again tomorrow so I doubt I will get any crafting done.

Good luck Tracey, we're all rooting for you :-)

Blog Candy

Hi Everyone
I have a couple of tickets for the Chiltern Craft Show in Henley on Thames valid from 22nd to 25th August and, as my sister gets married that weekend, I'm not able to go along. If you can make use of these tickets, please leave your name on my blog, and maybe a link on your own blog (the more the merrier) and I will draw a winner next Friday 15th August. Have a great weekend!!

Every Bunny needs a Holiday!!

This is how I would love to have spent my time recovering this week but the lousy weather has put paid to that!!

This lovely image is from Stampabilities and was coloured using watercolour pencils. The background papers are from HOTP with the scrolls from Cuttlebug. The flower from Craftwork Cards made a lovely sunshine and the greeting is an unmounted stamp from Woodware.

Maybe the sun will start burning down in a couple of days so I can relax with an ice cream and lemonade ........

Friday Sketchers Challenge 13

Right, here is my next offering which is the Friday Shetchers Challenge No 13 and fell perfectly in line with a card I needed to make for my brother's birthday in acouple of weeks.

The image is by Rubber Stampede and the sentiment by Penny Black and embossed in gold. I can't remember who the background paper is by but the others are just plain card fed through the trusty Cuttlebug.

That's enough for now, need to go and check the inside of my eyelids for half an hour or so - it's the painkillers you know (aaah everybody.....) Will try and drag myself off the sofa to add to the crafting bonanza. It's awful having to take nearly three weeks off work you know!!

Peny Black Challenge No 8 - No Pink!!

Hello everyone. Sorry for my absence during the past week but I went into hospital on Monday for some surgery on my ankle and, though I thought it would be an excellent time to craft all week while I was recovering, I haven't been able to sit for very long without my foot up in the air - no, don't imagine, it'll only sscare you!! Anyway, now it's stopped throbbing quite so much, the crafting session has started .......

My first creation is for the Penny Black Challenge. I wanted to use this image for last week's challenge but, 'cos of circumstance, just didn't get the time, so have manged to use it for this week instead.

The challenge is to create something using a Penny Black item but, wait for it, NO PINK!! That was a challenge in itself as I love pink :-) Anyway, I battled through the trauma and managed to make it through, so here is my offering.

I hope you like it.
