Horsing Around

I just love these horsey images by Penny Black (bit of a theme here ...) but these two cards were made for two of my friends who have horses. I didn't realise until now though that I had used the same stamp for both!!

Simply Slim

I thought I would try my new distressed ink pad out and make something purely with stamps and am quite pleased with the result.

The flower is Penny Balck and the lovely scrolls are from an acrylic set by Basic Grey. The setniment didn't come out very well with just the ink so I have since embossed it and the little dragonfly. Finished off with a bit of bling and ribbon and job done, all in a few minutes!!

Stable Door Plaque

Now that I have my lovely horse, Storm, back. I thought she needed a nice new nameplate for her stable door and so I made her this as a welcome home present.

The image is, of course, a Penny Black and I used it because it looks so much like her. The letters were white chipboard and glittered so I painted them with twinkling H2O's to brighten them up. Finally, I added a couple of Prima flowers and lovely swirly stamp (another bargain, she smirked) and chalked the outside edges. How long it lasts before she gets to it and eats it is another matter altogether ............

Penny Black Challenge - Frame It!

Well hello everyone - I'm back!! Have been quite busy crafting but just not posting so am now back on track.

I have just made this in time for this weeks challenge. This involved using at least one Penny Black image and a frame somewhere in the design. The gorgeous stamp was one of my Penny Black bargains picked up at the Craft Show at the NEC last November and I absolutely love it!! The image was watercoloured and I used K & Co Papers, a die cut frame (from the ever growing stash ....) and the sentiment was also Penny Black.

Background Help!!

Ii have spent ages trying to get this darned background to work and it wont!! When I preview the changes, it's fine but it's shrunk when I check back later and I'm getting VERY ANGRY GRRRRR.

Anyway, if anyone can help with (with the background, not my sanity) I would be eternally grateful :-)

Going to chill out now and make a couple of cards to calm me down ......

Will post the results later in the day.

Ooh, nearly forgot HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERBODY XXXXXX
