Cute little pony

This card was made for a very lucky little girl who has just had a little pony named Cubie.

Though they are a bit fiddly, I love these box cards as they can just be kept like a little ornament. The characters were all stamped images from Penny Black which were coloured with Promarkers and cut out (think I'm slowly getting to grips with my Promarkers). The background from Lilli of the Valley was just perfect and the front two strips of grass were cut freehand from green bazzil and the lettering was courtesy of my Cuttlebug.

Mothers Day

My friend wanted a card for her mum for Mothers Day so here it is. She told me that her mum loved lillies and luckily, after having a root around, I found this lily decoupage. What a nightmare though to trim around the stamens. It certainly tested my craft knife skills. Because the pieces were so tiny, I used silicone glue to layer them and was really pleased with the result. The background papers are from DCWV and the lettering from the Cuttlebug.

Sadly, I lost my mum along time ago and made this card was for my ex mum-in-law. She's been a part of my life for so long and I might not be married to Chris anymore, I still think of her as my second mum and love her to bits.

The papers are again by DCWV and the embossed frame, sentiment and flowers are Craftwork Cards. I chalked the frame but am stil not really sure what I think of the result.

Babies, babies ....

It has been really nice to be asked to make cards for other people this week. The first order was for a card for a new baby and I thought I ought to make a couple while I was on a roll.

The image is a real favourite of mine by House Mouse. I watercoloured them and added glossy accents to the bottle. How cute is that bunny?

This little front and back shaker card is made using some images from Kanban. Not something I would normally buy but I have to admit I quite like them. The "shaker" beads are some that my sister had on the tables at her wedding (we crafters use everything you know) and I used some silicone glue to hold the buttons firmly in place. Lettering this time was from the Cuttlebug.

Sorry the picture of the inside of the card didn't come out very well.

Nice 'n' easy

I made this card because I really need to build up some stock and had already coloured the Penny Black image some time ago. It makes things so much easier when you can just grab it, slap it on a piece of card and, hey presto, done!! The sentiment and flower is by Craftwork Cards and the little silver flower thingy was a self adhesive topper that was hiding away.

Happy Birthday to Moo!!

This card was actually made for my sister, who collects cows, but it's one of those that I failed to put on the blog.

The stamp is by one of my favourites, Penny Black and was watercoloured. I think the backing papers by Craftwork Cards and K & Co. The greetings were cut using my Cuttlebug and the Cricut. I think the flower was Cuttlebugged as well and a couple of diamantes finished off.

Flowers and lace

This is a gorgeous stamp by Stampendous and was stamped using a pearlescent Brilliance ink. I added a bit of glitz using glitter glue on the flowers that are just outlined, though it hasn't shown up very well on the pic, and chalked the edges. The background paper is by K & Co and I used a Fiskars punch for the border and finished with cream lace. Ooh, nearly forgot, the butterfly greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

Chocolate .....

Well, this is one of the busiest times of the year for me as far as family birthdays go and I have busy gluing and glittering!!

This was for my daughter Amy who is a chocoholic (I wonder who she takes after .....) and was made using the yummy scrummy collection from Craftwork Cards and perfect for chocolate lovers anywhere. I love it so much, I've used every last scrap and need to re-stock.

Wow, getting really organised this year and not waiting until a week before Christmas to make a batch of cards!! Hope to have them done way, way in time this year (remind me of that on Christmas eve won't you??!!)

Catch up ....

Well, though I have been crafting, I've been really lazy and not updated my blog.

Over the next few days, I will try and get up to speed and say hello to everyone to all those I haven't been in touch with. I apologise for being so lapse .....
